this monday, december fifth, i had the privilege of seeing jamie woon perform live at the mercury lounge in nyc’s lower east side. as an already-big-fan of his music, my expectations were pretty high. that said, i was unsure of how good his electro-heavy tunes would sound live…by the end of the show i (and our whole squad) was blown away. it was one of the most casually-delivered, understated deliveries of soul i’ve ever heard. the guy can sing, and sing WELL. and he makes it look so easy.

this was jamie’s first major live performance in nyc, a special moment to say the least. i feel lucky to have caught it.
